Coffee Friends is whole bean coffee blend utilizing two equitably produced South American coffees that, on their own, bring something completely different to the cup but when blended together creates a melange of magic meant to be shared. We worked with our roaster, Juke Coffee to bring you a seasonal taste of washed coffees grown and processed by two woman-owned South American coffee producers that align with our vision for accessibility and equality in the coffee industry.

The backbone of this blend is from the San Ignacio area of Peru, produced by the COOPAFSI Cooperative. Their efforts are focused on gender equality in coffee farming. The co-op maintains consistency in the quality of the coffees while also providing their members with access to micro-loans for land improvements and promoting accessibility and technology education to help members reach new markets with their product.

The secondary component to our blend hails from Edilma Loaiza, owner of Grandillo Farm in the Nariño province of Columbia. Edilma has over 25 years of experience growing coffee, which first began when she was 25 years old and inherited a small parcel of land from her parents.

This medium bodied fully washed coffee is a lovely balance of semi-sweet chocolate, tart dried cherry, and candied citrus making this seasonal blend a treat on espresso and pourover.
